Vic: Man charged over Newborough murder
A man has been charged with murder over the death of legally blind man at Newborough,
130 kilometres east of Melbourne.
Firefighters were called to a blaze in a house in Narracan Drive, Newborough, early
on January the 29th, where the body of 40-year-old LEO FILIPPONE was found.
An autopsy the next day showed Mr FILIPPONE had suffered several stab wounds and other injuries.
Homicide squad detectives yesterday charged 36-year-old MARK ANDREW KUSTER of Shanahan
Parade, Newborough, with murder.
He was taken before Moe Magistrates Court yesterday, where he was remanded in custody.
