When it comes to computer security products, I've had a lot more experience than most because products such as McAfee or Norton Internet Security, or a variety of alternatives, are a staple of any of the hundreds of computers I encounter. Naturally, I've developed preferences for, and encountered issues with, particular brands of security software.
However, I must concede that any popular security product, when used properly, does at least a reasonable job, its popularity hopefully increasing the pressure on its makers to resolve any discovered problems.
But decent security software is not all you need to keep an online experience safe.
